I don't even think they really want to kick them out. I think they want to create the illusion that they're "doing something about the problem" with a solution they know won't actually work. Their supporters are happy, and they get to keep oppressing immigrants for cheap labour.
It's funny how liberals think it is this big burn that Trump said Mexico will pay for the wall, and now he wants us to pay for it. I assure you, they don't give a shit who pays, they just want to kick Mexicans out of the country to keep America white.
