Can we replace quantum mechanics with metaphysics!
Science has been the slow process of showing that the exciting magical world we believed in doesn't exist, and there is nothing but boring reality. Well, except for quantum mechanics, which showed boring reality doesn't exist, and everything is basically magic.

You're underselling how bizarre Quantum Mechanics actually is. Magic *wishes* it could work like QM.

Fundamentally magic seems to work on our intuition: manipulating a thing, like a doll, to manipulate something it reminds us of, a person, seems straightforward. Looking at something and having it run away or show up only where you look for it doesn’t “make sense” in any way.

Everything is magic until we understand it and interpret the math convincingly. But no one wants to interpret something as messed up as quantum mechanics.
