Isn't Avicenna's entire premise a flawed contrivance? What does it mean to have someone "fully developed and perfectly formed" placed into his isolation? Did we just kidnap an adult & throw them into this box or did we raise a person from birth straight from 1 womb to another? 1

A: it’s a thought experiment so contrivance is kinda ok. B: I think it’s supposed to be a person created that way by god, which if you were a medieval Islamic philosopher, is totally reasonable to imagine.
