I think "happiness" is both simpler and less important than, an impression I get of what some think it? Happiness is roughly what one feels when one considers things to be going well compared to a baseline. But things going well matters more than that feeling.

Why is happiness always referred to as a place of arrival and not a process or an appreciation for the ephemeral good moments that sprout out of the daily activities? Really is a sub-product. No one can say to be happy when sleeping whilst asleep.
