historically a lot of euro countries especially northern social democratic ones worked really hard at forming a cross-class national culture, this was even more true of former communist countries. the US just has the most inequality, the biggest "high-culture" illiteracy rate

if your point is simply that historically the sources of the US’s cultural production were more diverse/less elitist then sure. but that is just because you simply didn’t have an entrenched old-world cultural elite to be those gate-keepers (i sound like Tocqueville Jesus save me)
