introverted, shy, and socially anxious are not interchangeable terms. unfortunately, people get them confused during their quest of knowing themselves.

I don’t think I would add ‘unfortunately’ in there; it’s a process we all go through and it’s fortunate that we have the opportunity to sort them out. I’ve had them all - took getting over shyness, which caused social anxiety, to realize I’m an introvert.
