If you boil a frog slowly enough, you won't even realize that you are doing something cruel and inhumane.

Here is how we do it in India: while the frog is on the boiling pot, we dangle a fake snake on its head. The frog will be so panicky it won't even realize ifs being scorched by the boiling water!

Apparently, in the original experiment with the frog and the boiling water, they removed the frogs brain. Unsurprisingly it didn’t move.

Well, you still put a frog in a pot, so at one point you definitely should have reflected upon the possible consequences of that action.

Well, first there’s the morality & empathy aspect. Would I want to be boiled alive? No. So I don’t do that.

That isn't how empathy works. There is a subtle flaw in your wording. It should be: "Would the frog want to be boiled alive? No, so I don't do that."

No, that IS how empathy works - putting yourself in another creature’s (or persons) place. What you’re describing is sympathy or pity.

Once again, your wording was off. Had you said "If I was the frog, would I want to be boiled?" then you'd be empathizing with the frog. Instead, your wording was "Would I want to be boiled?" which is sympathizing because you only look at what you directly relate to.

Like I said earlier, the difference can be subtle, but your wording was not empathetic. Your intention might have been to imply that "If I was the frog, would I want to be boiled?" but your actual output was worded in an ineffective manner.
