Except the far right dont necessarily have an issue with the gulags and thought police as long as they're running the show.

They’re not caller gulags on the right they’re called extermination camps
-
ah, I stand corrected.

And “Gulags” that were regular prisons, still weren’t this hell hole nazis say it is source:https://twitter.com/jucheguevara/status/1048647936157110272?s=21 …

Yeah, but they were still prisons, so no they weren't progressive. They were failure. If u can't figure out how to manage a society without prisons, then: NEXT. Prisons are the failure of society and progressive would be creating a society that doesn't need prisons.

Funny how the far-right reactions always seem to line up perfectly with Democrats hysteria about Lefty ideas

Why would someone want to abolish a prison?
-
Because prisons are archaic and classist
-
So what do you suggest?
-
Abolishing them
-
And what do we do with criminals?
-
Literally anything other than mass incarcerating them, cutting them off from education and rehabilitation, and using them for labor
-
Yeah a more rehabilitating route instead on the punishing one, sure you could implement that and still keep the prisions.
-
Yeah but you could, alternatively, not do prisons instead.

Neither the far left nor the far right are homogeneous. That being said, as one quite to the right of you, substantial lessening of prison use sounds good?
-
Prisons are connected to a number of state-enforced/created monopolies after all! Personally, I'm curious if stocks could be used in a humane way in place of imprisonment.
-
I think the far right is more homogenous than you think it is. There are many potential ways forward, but only a few ways back, and the far right is all about getting and maintaining power they have over others, which is in effect going backwards.
