Each chapter will be written by women, and includes a different woman philosopher from around the world. Of the 17 announced, only five have appeared in my comics! Only 8% of the philosophers in the comics are women, to give an idea of the makeup of the usual canon of philosophy.

But if philosophy is the conversation of the history of ideas, we cannot ignore that the "other" half of humanity, whose ideas were seldom written and canonized, also took part in the conversation. If we truly want to understand the history of thought, we have to examine it all.

Simone Weil is the only one I've read but her name is not on the list. Gravity and Grace offers an excellent account of her brilliant personality. I wish the authors success, with this book. :) Looking at the list, I'm encouraged to read about 17 women philosphers. Much to learn.

The Pandeism Anthology project has made a consistent effort to invite and include woman in philosophy and theology as contributors to our anthologies. These haven’t always panned out, but we’ll keep working towards it!!
