Anyone who thinks that getting rid of capitalism will get rid sexism and racism need to take a hard look at the horribly toxic cultures in the open source software communities.

Giving control of production to the people, workers, or public will not make those people good. The "evil capitalists" are not the only ones with agency in the world. Everything isn't a plot to divide the workers, workers are perfectly capable of being horrible on their own.

That was Stallman's idea. Then came Eric Raymond (that gay who wrote blog posts about superiority of psychopaths and endorsed Ted Cruz) and popularized the term "Open Source" which is more about devaluation of the labour of software developers.

Open source is free access to source code. It isn't necessarily free products or services. There is a tremendous amount of profit motive without paying the backbone labor they facilitates the production. Capitalism influence is prominent.

Obviously I can't speak for other women, but I wouldn't say that they're worse, they're just problematic in different ways. I don't at all disagree with the initial premise, but are people really claiming that getting rid of capitalism will get rid of sexism and racism?
