Giving control of production to the people, workers, or public will not make those people good. The "evil capitalists" are not the only ones with agency in the world. Everything isn't a plot to divide the workers, workers are perfectly capable of being horrible on their own.

Speak for yourself. While I agree with the thesis that discriminatory/shitty behavior would not cease with capitalism. Duh! There are a lot of cool, safe spaces within the FOSS community. It's not a monolith. Can you illustrate that the FOSS community is *specifically* heinous?
