The seemingly common take of "let's give Zuckerberg and Jack absolute control over what speech is and isn't allowed because maybe they are sort of on our side" shows that the brain worm infestation has made its way to the liberals too.
The real solution, which is so frightfully obviously that it can't even be discussed, is to force Facebook and Twitter to use open protocols (like email, or in this case gnu social) so no one controls the entire network, and individual sites can ban who they want.

Email uses open protocols, but that doesn't stop everybody from using Gmail. The issue is the user base, not the protocols. Almost everybody's on Facebook because almost everybody else is there.

Considering bout 17 American agencies spend like 27 trillion/year playing capitalist games on Facebook & Twitter, not sure either corporate entity is gon be forced to change anything the government don't want. But, I guess your tweet was a good way for sideways slam of liberals.
