In the last five years McDonald's has averaged $8 billion in profits per year. Their employees average $8.47 per hour. That's $17,617 per year at full time. They have 235k employees, so if the profits were returned to the employees that number could be raised to $51,659 per year.

When people say we can't afford to raise the minimum wage...no, we can. The parasites who do no labor just need to get a smaller piece of the pie. Preferably zero percent. McDonald's gave $3 billion in dividends last year. What did shareholders do to deserve that money? Nothing.

Why aren’t these employees able to negotiate a better package? And why are they “trapped” in minimum wage jobs? It’s too simplistic to single out business owners as the sole culprits. There is nothing immoral about profit seeking.

There is literally nothing forcing people to work at McDonalds. If it were such an evil empire then we would have collectively boycotted them decades ago yet we continue to eat tons of the shit every single day.

You say poor as if everyone not a part of the 1% wouldn't be a million times richer, only a tiny fraction of people are going to see their ill gotten gains dissapear

No one is forcing them to come work for $8.47 per hour. Are they? These people are coming there to work for $8.47 per hour because they got no other skills which would fetch them better paying job. Plus, business owners create wealth across society for so many people.

Just that that level of wealth is not what would please you. By providing $8.47 atleast, they are putting food on table for those employees. Just imagine those employees out of the job, getting $0 per hour not working, being poorer than what you call them as being "poor".
