None of them will bother learning what socialism is, or why you are a socialist. (Mostly because they would have to read a book.)
If you are poor and a socialist they will say you are just jealous, if you are rich they will call you a hypocrite. If you are somewhere in the middle they will probably try to do both at once.

Nailed it (as always). I don't get why I'm not allowed to detest a country, or economic system that benefits me, while I watch it ignore and exploit others.

You can understand rich not necessarily as wealthy, but as earning a great deal of money as salary/income. Doesn't make you a capitalist if you rather spend/give than accumulate insanely
