While i do like scifi and don't care about sports, i need someone to explain to me how fantasy football is any different than rolling up a d&d character.
Nerd culture is funny because it fooled an entire generation into thinking that if you liked sci-fi and disliked sports, that somehow made you smart.

Whereas the causality is actually that being smart makes you like SF and dislike sports.

At least two of the actual smartest people I personally know have little use for SF and love sports (esp. the advanced analytical/statistical aspect). And I mean like 99th percentile smart. This proposed "causality" is nonsense.
