There’s a racist overtone in how critics describe the Dream Keeper Fellowship as “cash for criminals” Truth is the fellowship exists at the intersection of criminal justice reform and universal basic income The hate reminds me this fellowship can workhttps://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/justinphillips/article/Ugly-reaction-to-S-F-s-new-anti-violence-pilot-16450428.php …

10 criminals at high risk of recurrence, for a total cash out at 60k. What is the multiplier on overhead costs? 10x? What is the metric for success? Is there a control group? Are results being compared to alternate approaches? Does this approach withstand rudimentary inspection?

It’s really quite simple: 1) identify repeat violent felons 2) give them money 3) ?????? 4) profit! (ie. manufacture study that it worked)

I think we should have criminals choose their punishment. 1. Max sentence in prison 2. Renounce citizenship (deported to new country: Venezuela or similar) 3. Dropped 5 miles off shore at dawn Serve your time or live free like the people in another country or earn your freedom.
