A shift of up to 5 per cent of the 1 million trips within <10ks of the Sydney CBD to walking and cycling could result in a reduction of up to 50,000 motor vehicle trips per day.

Just had a great presentation from on Bike Share - while Sydney's currently not loving Bike Share, it has enormous potential. Huge mode shift being encouraged, including a massive 10% modal shift in Shenzen in 18 months.

How reckless is a holiday for a young saver? Much, much less than it used to be. In 1981 a 20% deposit on a median-priced house in Melb was equal to five return flights to London, now it's 139 return flights

50% of renters in Aus move home every 2yrs - the highest proportion in the OECD. We know the number of renters are growing and people are renting for longer. Built to Rent is one option to help address this growing social & financial cost for Sydneysiders

This has been pitched as a negative outcome in the SMH today - but if new transport infrastructure improved 28.3% of sydneysider’s commutes that would be incredible. I have a feeling people are expecting too much of the NSW Govt.
