They each get a vote, like everyone else. Why should people from Wyoming have their votes weighted higher than people from Massachusetts? We're all Americans.

Amen. One person, one vote. Every vote should count--and count equally--regardless of who you are or where you happen to live.

They already do, in the election held in the state in which that vote was cast. Presidential elections are 50+ individual elections. It's a deliberate system designed to force campaigns to seek broad coalitions.
