Reparations: People who have never owned slaves giving money to people who have never been slaves to make up for slavery.

Almost. More like: People who have profited from slavery but oppose slavery sharing those profits with people who aren’t slaves but can’t escape the damages of slavery so that equality can finally be a reality and not just a talking point.

I agree. Any former slaves or their children deserve some form of reparations for what they experienced. In light of slavery having been abolished nearly 160 years ago I expect the number of qualified applicants to be quite low.
