I want that shirt!
I'm a supporter, but these plans strike me as gimmicky. The marketplace elevated Google and Amazon to where they are, and if they're knocked down, the marketplace will just anoint another behemoth in their place. The key, to me, is chaining their growth/profits with taxation.
This is exactly why I support other democratic candidates. This is a stupid idea. Working more on serious privacy issues would be a more mature approach. But hey, it’s a populist policy appealing to those not in the tech world, which is our future.
I’ve worked in tech for years as a programmer/web & iOS/Android app developer. Concerns about privacy, #NetNeutrality
& how there are all sorts of ways to exploit data are worth doable legislation that is viable.
Breaking up tech companies is what a naive newby would admire.
I'd rather they work on Facebook. They are a bigger threat in my mind.
I'm a fan and supporter of yours, Senator Warren. I don't think this is the right plan and really hope you'll talk to more folks in the tech and security industry before really committing to these plans.
I’ve been building things online since 1997. It’s been the Wild West in an arena that has a more profound effect on humanity than anything previous. These are not nice-guy-boy-wonders anymore. They are ruthless business people & they need a good chain.
Dear @Elizabeth, who is letting your tweets run a muck? You just nailed your campaign coffin with this tweet. You're a savvy politician? You need the Big Boys to win. Then, if you win, you can take this stance. Now some other Democratic candidate must rise. You just blew it.
This would have gotten her my vote and active support if I wasn’t Canadian. An unregulated Google, Facebook & Twitter are dangerous. To the world.
