I was teaching at a law school in Houston when the kids were little and, suddenly, the babysitter quit. I tried all sorts of child care options, but none of them worked out. I thought I'd have to quit my job. But my Aunt Bee flew down to help out, and I kept my job.

You have the plans and how to pay for them in detail. You don't bring a circus like some other candidates, but I hope people start to notice who has the actual plans.

Child care is the number one worry of all my friends and family who are young parents. Thank you for addressing this head on.

In my home, it was childcare AND caring for my elderly father-in-law. I set my career aside, lost myself, my value plummited. I went into deep depression. This is a BIG & needed conversation. We must value our caregivers & the work inside & outside of the home.

It’s purposeful and willful. It keeps the parent(s) working several jobs, kids unattended and susceptible to street life. Keeps the prison funnel full. Keeps people poor or unable to get out of their situations.

I love a candidate that can go beyond empty promises and actually _show_ me a detailed plan.

Thanks for being detailed and bypassing the empty words with no policy proposals to back this claim. This is viable and doable.

Its not just about equal pay its about equal responsibility for the child and their education etc Even stay home mums including single mothers should have access to such things for their kids

When I was a kid in the 60s we had after-school programs and supervised activities for kids. These programs would reduce the need for childcare for many families. Many schools are on double shifts now so there is no space for these activities... 1/2

We need to heavily invest in education by paying teachers better, upgrading and expanding existing schools and building more schools.
