Honey I have two children who had COVID and I’ll be vaccinating them ASAP because the vaccine imparts more durable immunity than natural infection, there are many re-infections, and I’m not sure the long term sequelae they will endure alreadypic.twitter.com/QXAg4BV5fl

Honestly curious (because I am naive); do you see this being something that needs annual or every several years types of boosters, such as the flu or tetanus? I just don't see something as virulent and easily transmitted as this getting under control with just the initial doses

Smallpox vaccine was one dose. It was pretty darned virulent. MMR vaccine was one dose in my generation (only later we learned 2 is better and I’ve had a booster), without it I was still covered for 40+ years. I don’t think there’s any scientific basis for your speculation.

Why do moms that were vaccinated already, want their kids to take risks they don't have to?

I have two adult children and a grandbaby. One is medically fragile due to gross trauma. I will be getting the vaccine (when/if I get to) and so will they.

That's the hope, obviously, but do we yet have evidence that the immunity is longer lived? I hope that there will be, but won't that take several months?
