I think it will have to try even harder than last year like even I am leaning more towards the "lite" version as my trust for in display readers is near zero
-
Early generations of the technology are unreliable, in what way?
-
Less reliable and slower, I hate waiting for phone... I see no reason Mate 20 pro has in screen reader with that massive notch

They look amazing but I think curved screens are a gimmick! So standard mate 20 will suffice. Don't like companies throwing the "Pro" moniker out there when very little difference. Look at ipad.. Shouldn't the pro be far superior? Amoled screen perhaps
-
I believe the Pro has 3D face scanning like apple's face ID
-
And an in-display fingerprint scanner too. So I guess it earns the Pro suffix.
-
I see what you're saying but Oct 30th brings forward a oneplus 6t with in display fingerprint. So to me, can they call it a pro? It's not professional is it. I'd call it an "EVO" because it's the next step in biometrics. Just my opinion that's all

The one in d one plus 6 isn't ultra sonic and won't have stereo speakers, no IP certification, no wireless charging, no IR blaster, no 3d facial recognition, no wireless projection, no 7nm SoC, no dual NPU, no 4,200 mah battery, no qhd screen and no triple cameras.

Why only one of them has the fingerprint sensor?
-
Maybe it's on the front (button or screen)
