It's a really horrible decision by Verizon to pick this particular Nokia model to test the waters.
@NokiaMobile Please bring the 5.1 or 3.1 Plus unlocked to the US. -
They're treating Nokia the same as any other untested OEM, which is to say they're seeing how HMD Global operates as a partner. I wouldn't expect them to go with anything of consequence (this may even end up being prepaid).

That makes sense, but a 5.1 or 3.1+ would be the best pick to test the waters because their specs are decent. The 2.1V has 1GB of RAM. That's not going to attract customers and HMD
@hmd_global isn't going to be able to show whether they can like replenish stock on time.
