    I think R*ot making something that excites a certain extremely devoted queer fandom base is a god tier strategy to try and make people forget they only ended up paying maybe $10k to each female developer that had her career destroyed by their various sex pest managers

    I love the game awards but this is not the way. Sony and Microsoft can have a stance on Activision Blizzard but the Game Awards can’t? Unless they do decide to come out with a solid stance I won’t be attending.

    The Game Awards won't take sides on Activision fallout to focus on reveals:

    Activision's Raven Software, which runs Call of Duty Warzone, abruptly laid off a number of QA testers today. Others don't know if they're keeping their jobs. "This is really painful," one just told me. Warzone generated $1.93 billion last year, according to a SuperData estimate

    I am gutted right now. My friends in QA at Raven were promised, for months, that Activision was working towards a pay restructure to increase their wages. Today, one by one, valuable members of the team were called into meetings and told they were being let go.
