I dated someone who on text was a different person in real life, he had anxiety and it was easier for him to be who he was via text, funny/ interesting/ intelligent/ interactive but irl was completely silent and withdrawn

It’s so odd. I thought the person was so funny, but in real life they did not talk around anyone. It was weird.

They’re shy/anxious. It’s easier to be live online because you don’t immediately see the reaction/body language and you also don’t have to be self conscious about how you look/sound/carry yourself.

Social Anxiety is a muthafucka. You control your interactions online you can anticipate and decide if/when to respond. Face to face you don’t have that option. Or you’re considered weird.
