Well 30k would be fine if it was enough to live off of. Consider that 30k divided by 12 months is $2500 GROSS net /mo. So that's $1,250 a paycheck. Minus $200 a check for health insurance, ~$100 medicare/SS thats $950 a paycheck take home. Rent is $1000 for a 1bd/1ba lol

So now consider this is my wife's salary at $19.25 /hr as a 5 year employee as a cancer researcher with a bachelor's degree at a top 5 US Cancer Institute and that we do not live in a 1bed/1bath but have living costs of 3bd/2bath and a child. But $30k is about what we make.
