when i traveled solo to nyc and met up with random of my twitter mutuals for a week everyday it was suuuuper fun everyone was so cool and nice. that’s the only time i traveled alone and New Yorkers were actually pretty nice to me! But idk about the rest of the us.

I’m saying when you know nobody there, IMO when I went to Like Asia/ Europe I could make a new friend very easily in the city cause they’re friendly but USA you gotta be careful lol

I think it depends on where in the US you're traveling to and where you're staying. My friend solo traveled to NOLA and stayed in a hostel and loved it! She met some pretty cool people and had a great time. (1/2)

I also think it's different traveling to a major city as opposed to a vacation spot like a beach town or something like that. There are more things to do and more chances of meeting new people to hang with for the time being (2/2)

It's funny, this one time in college there was this exchange student from Singapore, and since she was only in the US for a semester, she took the opportunity to travel every weekend. One wknd she was talking about going to Iowa cause she bought really cheap tickets and nobody...
