Waitress need to stop getting mad at people not tipping, it is not our job. The government/company should provide living wages where tips are NOT needed. In Europe tipping is actually looked down on.

The service is included, that's why tipping is seen as a nice gesture and not a requirement I like to tip but instead of getting mad at customers who don't tip, servers should direct that energy towards their employers and demand to be paid a livable wage

If your “nice night out” relies on exploiting the labor of the lowest-paid workers in our society, it ain’t nice.

that's what the u.s wage system is based on: exploitation of the lowest-paid.

Ppl get shamed for cutting ppl off in traffic. But it isn't about the one person's actions. It's about the hundred ppl combined that do this that hurts. Yall know we make next 2 nothing per hour and rely on great service to earn tips. So why do that to someone if u already know?

Nah. If you can’t afford to tip, then you shouldn’t eat out. And if you want to be able to eat out and not worry about being looked down on for not tipping, you should be on the front lines *actively* advocating for the restaurant industry to pay its workers’ living wages.

I always tip 20% regardless of service. But it's not a poor person's job to tip the waiter if they want to treat their family on occasion. If they can pay what it costs, they have every right to eat there.

If you can’t afford tipping you can’t afford “a nice night out”. Period.

If people only have money for “food” then they should buy the food, cook it their own house and wait on themselves.
