I always encourage every black man in my life to go to therapy even if there’s nothing wrong. Having a stranger to vent to and work through things can change your life.

In therapy now. For almost a year now. Best decision of my life. Therapy takes on different blessings for me every session. Sometimes it “hurts” me. Sometimes it makes me feel so free. Digging up gunk to clean it out my mind and heart is my now favorite thing lol

I was lucky enough to find a Black Woman LMFT...and it was enlightening. I learned, unlearned, read, and critically thought in a space that was neutral but challenging and endearing.

Omg... you struck gold! I’m so happy for you!

As we spoke he would ask me questions and present ideas I’d never thought of. It encouraged me to think through my actions/feelings in situations and gave me a plan for emotional growth. I think it’s made me a more understanding/empathetic person

When working with one that's good.. Uncomfortable. The uncomfortablity you experience when growing. It's that necessary uncomfort that leads to a level of self-realization and healing. Something I recommend for all Black men.

Life changing. Uncovering the layers of introspection. Perspective got wider. Talking through issues to better understand. https://twitter.com/evelynvwoodsen/status/1273278708552544257?s=21 …https://twitter.com/evelynvwoodsen/status/1273278708552544257 …
