I remember I went to a school that was basically all white. In my English class my teacher wanted to have a discussion on Freddie Gray and majority of the class were saying looting isn’t right. I was so angry cause they valued material things over a black life

There legit weren’t that many black people at my high school so speaking up about black issues was brave. I remember I made a I Can’t Breathe shirt in honor of Eric Garner and a white person asked me “are you really gonna wear that?”...
