As of like 2 years ago I think they can still go back & finish college now
-
Yep. They get six years instead of four! Some play solely to get a masters for free. I would if I knew I was good, but not pro league good and walk out with zero debt

it's very uncommon now for early entrants to stay in the draft and go undrafted. you can go back to school. if you don't get drafted; but you really were supposed to, you sign with a summer league team and try to get on a roster.
-
Then why do so many not get drafted if they are suppose to?

My ex was a D1 football player at a top fb school. Went free agent to a team and they cut him right before final roster picks. He moved to the middle of nowhere, worked for Pepsi, went through SOME SHIT mentally because all his friends were drafted/picked up. He’s a sheriff now.

I have another friend that was also playing football (not D1) and went in free agent. Didn’t get picked up. Moved to LA to be an actor. Then NYC and signed with a big fitness model agency. Did that for a bit. He went back to school, has a kid, being a dad.

I know one football player in the CFL, one in the XFL, one b-ball player does sales for the Cavs, some personal trainers, some on practice squads, and one guy I know argues on Facebook all day.

The Facebook one took me out
