See the thing is you do not realize your privilege as a white Latino. There’s a lot of colorism within the latinx community and those who are white Latinos have privilege over the indigenous looking ppl. Sad how I know more about your culture than you

I agree on white priv. and colorism in the latinx community but the girls in that video aren’t considered white on paper. They would be considered mestizo which is a mix of spaniard and indigenous descent and that is what the majority of countries look like after colonization.

Paper is different from how they’re viewed in society tho, if they walked into a room, people would assume they’re white. They wouldn’t assume Latino, they have that privilege vs someone darker who can not pass for white

I disagree that they would assume white. I’d say I am more white passing than they are (lighter skin, lighter eyes) and most people still assume latina. HOWEVER, I would still be treated differently than a darker latinx would be. So, yes the privilege is definitely still there.
