I’ll preface this tweet with I’m both a Kendrick and Cole stan; in that order. But, Wale’s career in terms of music is extremely comparable to both of theirs. The longevity, the quality of music etc. he ever got the love de deserved so I understand how It could turn you cold

The music is good yes, but it takes more than just music to get a good following and reach that status. Wale just doesn’t have it because he doesn’t know how to navigate. There should be a balance between untouchable and touchable which wale hasn’t mastered.

Can you elaborate on the touchable & untouchable part? I think I’m following but I want to make sure I get your point correctly

Cole and Kendrick both have this allure where they are able to connect with fans on a deep level but at the same time to fans they’re untouchable. They know how to master arrogant + being down to earth. Wale does not because he has so many out burst and goes off on fans lol

Gotcha! It’s all connected. Since Cole & KDot are mega stars, when they do stuff like walk around malls or tweet fans, Its special. Since Wale doesn’t get the star treatment he should, his interactions aren’t held as high. Plus, ppl take his sarcasm too seriously. Idk lol

But you have to remember that Kendrick, cole and wale came out about at the same time. Even Cole and Wale use to do hella collabs, but egos will get the best of you. Wale was burning mad bridges in the beginning of his career. He didn’t know how to move and that’s vital

Like I remember wale had beef with this radio host cause she said she didn’t like his music or something. He literally went off on her. You literally can’t burn bridges like that especially in radio then he went off on Meek I think

lol yeah I’ll def give you that. They all move differently. But Wale was never valued in his career. He was the best artist on MMG and still didn’t get the love. He’s to blame for some of It but shit when you know you’re great & always get slighted you might act that way.

I think the issue is Wale has a victim complex, he is always complaining about why he aint where he suppose to be but sometimes that should be motivation to go harder. His projects aren't consistent either, probably one release a year. He needs to do more and release more.

Wale recently said they “move the goal post” for certain ppl and I agree. Kendrick/Cole drop like every other yr. Some drop even less. If you look at his work & take personality out, he has a top MC discography . We give big Sean top tier love when Wale career has been better.

I agree, I think Big Sean is def up there but he is having the same issue as Wale where he feels overlooked
