Have we reached the point when daily articles exploring the inner lives of the many Black people responsible for putting Dems in the majority in the House are warranted yet?

  9. Q. Who gets to decide what forgiveness, restoration or justice look like? A. The folks who have been harmed. Not the harmful person. not third parties. Q. What is a real apology? A. An apology is when you admit wrongdoing and take responsibility without caveat or blaming others.

  11. Aside from being spot-on re: this situation, this is actually a really clear analysis applicable to any situation when it comes to 1) what actual apologies and change look like and 2) who gets to dole out forgiveness and absolution. George is a great follow btw!!

I’m always struck by ppl who express admiration for those like Douglass & Tubman while labeling policies that attempt to build a more just & moral society “unrealistic.” Do these ppl think abolishing slavery was widespread & popular policy proposal in the 19th century? It wasn’t.

CPS new space utilization report claims there are 250 "underutilized schools." Reporters who share this should include that CPS uses class size of 30 to determine these figures. 30 kids per class is neither ideal nor acceptable.

I don't think it's as much our responsibility to do that as much as it is the public's responsibility to care when they do come out That's the issue--they come out and folks don't care so they go away Why do we have to keep pleading for people to care?
