It’s a wicked hard issue, and I don’t blame her for skipping it! There’s a commitment to momentariness. But it’s super unclear how to think of longer time scales, especially where the flow of the ālayavijñāna and the apparent stability of vāsanās are concerned. 1/2

I think that working carefully through McT’s discussions of the C-series might help. His views are tied up with mystical experiences, and he’s trying to preserve eternity while denying time as we conventionally designate it. It’s kind of Spinozist in that sense 2/2
