Suppose you are tripping on LSD and the wall appears to be breathing. It seems weird to say that you have false *representation* of the wall, you are just seeing the wall in a weird way. So what is the right word if it's not "representation"?

The wall is 'the way it is' when we are not under the influence of a chemical 'disruption' to our brain. But our brain is also 'disrupted' in many other ways. Which is 'the way it is' actually?

I read that paper last night, and it’s fantastic! I’m not sure that I’m convinced, but I really like his way of reading Vasubandhu!

I especially like this claim: “Rather than asserting ‘mind-only’ as the true nature of unconditioned reality, Vasubandhu presents ‘mind-only’ as a description of our delusion: the dreams of this sleep from which the Buddha has awakened.” (Hall 1986)

a perspective. a presentation. a phenomenon. an appearance. a profile. a seeing-as. all said of an object. but not a robust one bc countered by too many contrasting intentional experiences.
