Here’s the question I struggle with, what is the best term to use for the tradition whose primary locus of origin is a mashup of the Mediterranean and Western Europe? Contemporary anglophone euro-descended philosophy?

Not sure there's a "tradition" there, but I generally just say Anglophone or European or North American, depending on exactly what I'm talking about. Sometimes more specific -- e.g., phenomenology, philo of language, etc.

I agree, and that also highlights just how weird it is to say that there’s a South Asian tradition, for example (not criticizing you, as you know that—I just feel like it’s easy to fall into the assumption that “they” have a unified tradition)

Agreed. However, I think there is a classical Sanskrit tradition that cuts across Buddhist, Jain, and Brahminical traditions. #Sanskritcosmopolis
