I’m about to start writing a book. One framing puts Buddhist philosophy in the foreground (with chs. on Abhidharma, Vasubandhu, Dharmakīrti, & Śāntideva). Another puts that discussion into the notes. Which way should I go?

I think that’s close to what I was envisioning as the more Buddhist focused version. I don’t want to sideline or downplay notions like karma, as I think something like vāsanās are crucial to the story I want to tell. (1/2)

But at the same time, I know that seeing references to Dharmakīrti, and even more, to karmic imprints, brands the project (and I hate that fact) (2/2)
