It’s like Irish people don’t realise why their country is stable and wealthy. If SF get in they will increase the corporation tax and that’ll be that for Ireland

Sinn Fein are international socialists. In bed with The Open Society Foundation. If you are expecting actual positive results, on the ground.... You wont get them. As much as I hate FGFF I wish this news brought me hope. It doesn't.

Last time the left-wing Sinn Féin (GUE/NGL) polled higher than in this poll was in the Millward Brown poll on 14 February 2015. Sidenote:
@EuropeElects only sets a post for relative record highs if party X scores higher than it has over the course of the past 5 years.#GE2020

The worse thing about sinn fein topping the poll is there will probably be a FF/FG coalition
-
Ah but if that's the result it will undermine both parties going forward as separate entities in future elections. An FFFG Coalition will expose the lie that they're anything other than two sides of the same coin. A FFFG Coalition will ultimately be a boost for left Politics

There’s no way they would’ve known but only running 42 candidates is really gonna hamper their ability to translate their poll numbers into seats.
-
This is why you should always field too many. SF is the kind of party that should always run at least 80 candidates, it is the largest left party after 2016 Labour collapse.
