New Metroid = YAY! Bandai Namco are doing it = ... Oh. Okay... Not sure how to feel about this. Outside of Dark Souls, their catalogue is pretty weak fare.

No it's not, but it's so incredibly likely with multiple credible sources informing Eurogamer that it is indeed Bandai that the chances it isn't are slim.

This. Nintendo Life is quoting this article and treating it like gospel. If there is not an official word on the matter from Bandai Namco or Nintendo this is still a rumour.

As much as enjoyed each Prime, the first being in my top 10 of all time, I feel the Corruption completed a perfect trilogy of games. Yes, part of me wants a 4th, but the bolder choice would have been draw a line under the 3 Prime's and start fresh.

Tbh the story (and the Metroid Prime itself) was finished with Prime 3 (outside of some minor teaser vid of supposedly Sylux). I hope the final game has Prime nowhere in the title and the tentative name was only Prime 4 to make it clear it'd be a new 3D Metroid.
