this does make sense because I dont have HDR on and it still tries to look like its on.

Bad HDR and no Dolby Atmos. Two things I was expecting to be superb in a AAA game of this level. The game is fantastic, but this is really disappointing

Yeah, with sheer size of this game, that would been to much. Only on pc hardware would of done the trick. This is apparent with the best version of the game being on the Xbox one X. They needed it to be playable on both consoles. Plus most people still don’t have 4K HDR TVs.

I had to crank the hdr settings in game way up to make it look good when default is usually fine in other games. Figured something was off.

How many hundreds of million of dollars did they make on GTA 5 and online? How many hours did they force their slaves to work a week again? And they still failed to do HDR properly? It’s definitely not due to a lack of resources. This is sheer incompetence.

Digital Foundry didn't even bother make their review video in HDR.

They don't tend to do that. Very few of their videos are HDR.
