Ok, so we helplessly watch on as every aspect of our lives gets controlled by people who are actually a bunch of drooling, bumbling idiots with immense power. Still sounds like a cope to me but whatever. What follows now from this insight?
not necessarily bumbling idiots, but a lot of short-sighted underinformed people. what follows from this, is that most elite-coordinated ‘conspiracies’ unfold over the short term or not at all, rarely work as intended, and there is in general no broader plan.
I think the elite are just great strivers who have good intuition for wave-riding, they're pretty good at masking failures, or making them feel irrelevant to the forgetful masses. To me making them overly powerful in your mind is the cope since it inspires inaction.
