yes, as far as I can work out, the doses were tuned to elicit maximal efficacy in the trials – that being the only metric anybody really cared about. they tinkered with the spike to minimise adverse reactions & hoped for the best.
so they have prevents thousands of myocarditis and other serious reactions (including some deaths imho, the heart attacks are not coincidental), had they applied some simple common sense to the dosing regimen
Curevac shows you really lose efficacy with lower doses. they went with an unaltered spike & got reactions so rough, they had to cut the dose way back, with the result that it hardly works. but agreed, if everyone has to get vaxx, give the youngs small doses, hardly matters.
yeah even if it works the case for vaxxing the young at all is miserably weak that said it is a problem worth solving for a subset; e.g. for young-ish and middle aged EMT's and nurses and doctors who take care of covid patients or diabetes sufferers
