“Colours” misrepresent a real thing. It is an error-concept. The thing can be understood otherwise than in terms of “colours” and should be, because the understanding in terms of “colours” is necessarily and always incorrect.

But the claim “colours are real” just is the claim that there are real, natural colour-groups which we identify and draw lines around. But there aren’t.

All the people screaming at me that colour is really real, a physical reality, all they need to do is NAME THE COLOURS THAT ARE REAL and SHOW THEIR PHYSICAL FOUNDATION. It’s odd they won’t take the obvious means to prove their assertion.
