Central disease statistics are propaganda Welt asks a health economist at TU Berlin what happened to 3.000 ICU beds that vanished from stats in Dec. Were they (as some say) unneeded beds for children? "Nobody knows," he says. "Also nobody knows how many ICU beds there even are"pic.twitter.com/FBOzjbLZuT

"And, if we don't know how many beds there are, nobody can now how many new ones were set up, or how many disappeared".pic.twitter.com/C1ncah8vqY

Do we know how many Corona patients are even in the ICU? No, DIVI only tracks cases. "So it happens that the DIVI numbers are an over-estimation. Around 30 percent" What does that mean, asks Welt? It means that transferred patients get counted twice, says our health economist.pic.twitter.com/QgtP0Q92jQ

"The big scandal, is that, via public health insurance, we finance too many beds. The sector is so large, that hospitals are incentivised to admit patients, often even when it is unnecessary. There is certainly no bottleneck in beds, or in ICU capacity".pic.twitter.com/LT9uV2Hhq2

What about the argument, that German ICUs were at the limit? What does our health economist think of that? He thinks it's rubbish, put about to justify the measures. ICU has never been a bottleneck, and not since Apirl 2020 have hospitals even stopped elective procedures.pic.twitter.com/dO45TZYaeP

Basically the entire image of the pandemic we are fed by government websites is total garbage. In Germany we don't know how many people are sick with Corona, how many people are in hospital with it, or really anything at all. It's just complete garbage.https://www.welt.de/politik/deutschland/plus231872027/Corona-Krankenhaeuser-Zahl-der-Intensivbetten-war-nie-der-Engpass.html …

It is the same as most 'economic' information produced for public consumption: the powers frame their data to tell us what they want us to think. Facts are so unimportant that they are validated by professional clergy ('checkers') whose qualification is credentials.

The best way to regulate supply and demand, applying command-and-control: convert all real-world scenarios to the World of Warcraft. Q. "How many beds in our hospitals?" A. "The king's designated NPC should know ..."
