... for "nearer settlement" – nearer, that is, to the town Segeberg. There's another village in the area called "Fehrenbötel" ("further settlement"). It is further from Segeberg.
The Green youth say they don't care about the derivation of the name and want it changed anyway. The local mayor complains that every few years some assholes demand a name change. The people who live there seem to be universally opposed.
