Well it aligns nicely with the woke thing. All those who stood up on the left for worker's rights and social mobility and etc. etc. now appear to speak only on whether it's racist to buy liquorice or transphobic not to allow a man into the ladies' toilets.

A fun experiment is to look up the older leftists - what they were saying 5, 10, 20 yrs ago vs now. You find that for the majority, their views were only ever fashions and entirely changeable depending on the mores of the time.
