point is nothing much changes for people in general as they are perfectly happy to just stare at their phone screens anyway and would feel rather uncomfortable if someone they didn't know just started talking to them on a train
please go be ridiculous somewhere else. administrative rules against having conversations in public (with your friends, or anybody: you seem bizarrely to think only conversations with strangers are forbidden) absolutely matter.
