Unless everything we’ve been told about vaxx is a lie, Germany has achieved vaccination levels sufficient to make Corona less dangerous, population-wide, than influenza. And yet containment continues. RKI now publishes new guidance calling for closures at even lower metrics ...

I wonder if in retrospect they will admit that they lied about it all 'for our own good'. Already Fauci admitted to lying about masks, and the Guardian had the article admitting 'brainwashing' for lockdown support. "We did it cause we love you. overpopulation solved <3"

I keep hearing "variants" as motivation for not lifting things. Otoh, apparently China is getting "hit hard" by the "Indian variant" right now.

The variants are all variations on a theme, all have related mutations in spike protein that confer an advantage, maybe 10-30%. But something about this is unstable, each variant loses the advantage over time, until a new fresh variant with related mutations leaps ahead again.

We are now completely open, with rates about the same as yours. No mask mandates or social distancing, no spectator limits at sporting events, etc. Even my university dropped all this nonsense as soon as the state mandates ended.
